Description

Join us for an exclusive event with Jennifer Pattee, founder of Basic Training,

who is revolutionizing the way cities, companies, communities, and individuals

approach fitness.

In 2013, Basic Training led a successful crowdfunding campaign, raising over

$65,000 to create a “pop-up fitness hub” in Hayes Valley. Launched this year,

the forward-looking design of this community space redefines what’s possible for

a parking lot, our health and the future of urban planning.

Featured in San Francisco Magazine, 7x7, and The Huffington Post, Jennifer

has partnered with the SF Planning Department, the Exploratorium, and Envelope

A+D’s PROXY project to pave the way for a bold re-imagining of public

health as urban play. With her out of the box thinking combined with design, architecture,

and creative place-making, Jennifer is changing the way people bring

wellness and vitality into their lives.

Jennifer will share her inspirational journey to launch Basic Training, the designthinking

model she used to drive social innovation, and how to be active anywhere,

anytime.
